Ruddy Nice Announces New Location for DSET 2026: Cheltenham Racecourse
Salisbury, UK —
Ruddy Nice Ltd is proud to announce that the 2026 Defence Simulation, Education & Training (DSET) conference will take place at its brand-new venue: Cheltenham Racecourse.
This move reflects the exceptional growth and ambition of the event, which continues to expand its reach and impact across the global defence and resilience sectors. DSET 2026 is expected to welcome 2,000+ attendees from 44 countries, with an impressive 70% military attendance, reaffirming its position as one of the most influential gatherings for defence, security, and training professionals. The new venue offers expanded capacity and enhanced facilities, supporting deeper collaboration across Military, Industry, Academia, Emergency Services, AI, Cyber, and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) communities.
Tess Butler, CEO, Ruddy Nice, said:
“We are thrilled to launch DSET 2026 in Cheltenham. The new venue promotes a wonderfully engaging atmosphere, as well as affording us the opportunity to include the live elements of Research and Development, Training and Technology. The outdoor space means that we can have live UGV and UAV zones, which we are hugely excited about. One of our big focuses this year is NATO #NextGen and consolidating the 10+ NATO organisations that we have worked with at DSET over the last decade.”
DSET Grows Into Space!
DSET 2026 marks a major milestone as the conference expands its focus in the rapidly evolving space domain. Both the UK Space Agency and UK Space Command will be exhibiting, with senior leaders scheduled to deliver keynote sessions on the future of UK space capability, defence integration, and national resilience.
British Army Service Cyber Conference to Rejoin DSET 2026
In another significant development, the 2026 conference is delighted to again host the British Army Cyber Conference, bringing Cyber experts and leaders from the British Army and wider defence cyber communities. This partnership reinforces DSET’s commitment to delivering the widest impact on national security.
With its expanded programme, broader representation, and a new venue designed to foster innovation and collaboration, DSET 2026 promises to be the largest and most significant edition to date.
